Helloooooo and happy new year to everyone!
It’s only January 4th and I’ve already learned so much. I hope everyone has written down their personal goals for the year. Because if you’re not getting better… what are you doing?
It’s been about a month since I’ve written, and I honestly have a thousand things to say about the end of 2011: Heisman, Christmas, Bowl Game, my family… But first things first – I am moving to New York City in NINE DAYS! I’m participating in a Communications program through Baylor where we (me and about 15 other students) intern, study and live in NYC as we wrap up our final semester of college.
I’ll be working at Madison Square Garden in the Communications/Networks department. When I sit and really think about that, my eyes get wide and the whole thing seems surreal. I follow the God who ordains my steps, and He’s given me such an incredible opportunity.
I am steady compiling a list of things I must visit while I’m in New York: Cooperstown, Statue of Liberty, visiting Ground Zero, Hillsong Church, find the only Chick-fil-A in NYU, etc. Feel free to add destinations to my list… I’ll send you a picture when I go!
Hopefully y’all will enjoy seeing the city through my eyes for a couple of months. I’ll be dedicated to updating… Promise! I may try updating by video… That could be fun, right?
Luke 12:34-35: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Be dressed and ready for service, and keep your lamps burning…”
